Hi Folks... I am having a Severe Dropped Frames problem here.. I did a few nice caps with no problems..no dropped..etc..but now I am dropping like 200+ frames in a 7 sec capture..yuk! I am using an Analog capture card (RADEON 64 DDR). I have been playing with Different Drivers..etc.. But can't get this problem fixed..
Can anyone point me to a Faq or list Ideas why frames would be dropped like that.. Thanks!

Win XP
P3 800
640 megs Ram
SB Live!
ATI Radeon 64 DDR VIVO
(CAM-Sony HandyCam Video 8)

Hah!.. Reply to my own Topic!! MY Drive ..for whatever reason..was changed to PIO Mode instead of DMA mode in WIN XP.. Odd..I had to Uninstall the Drive (software)..and then Uninstall the IDE Controller (sofware) to get it back to DMA..but she is back..and Dropping on 2 or 3 frames a minute...
Nice...

Thanks!

You say though that you are still dropping frames...shouldn't you be experiencing ZERO frame loss?

Maybe some of you who have been around here longer can correct me if I am wrong on this, but it certainly seems to me the majority of people are having dropped frames problem with WinXP & VF...
