Possibly a glitch on the source tape, this card doesn't seem to have time base correction, could account for the problem.

I think that is the time (4:07) when you hit 1Gbyte. Are you capturing to a FAT32 or an NTFS drive? If it is NTFS, make sure the capture size is unlimite.

i have winxp with ntfs but the files can no t get bigger than 1.1GB, and i don't have that restriction

In Vegas video capture, click on Options -> Preferences and then click on the "Disk Management" tab. Make sure "Maximum size per DV clip (MB)" is not checked. Also make sure that "Overflow when disk space below (MB)" has a low number entered (like 100).

Next, click on the Capture tab. Make sure that "Maximum Capture Length (timecode)" is not selected.
