No biggie, but I was answering a question on another forum a bit ago, and came across something I couldn't explain. So, of course, now it's nagging at me.
I was telling someone about the different ways you can apply FX (event, track, media, and project). But when I try to drag an FX from the Plug-in Manager or the Video FX window and drop it onto a piece of media in the Project Media window, I get the international symbol for "Can't do that!" On the other hand, I can right-click same media (in this case, a DV AVI) and choose Media FX just fine, as well as use the Media FX icon.
How come for why no drag n plop (TM 2008 Grazie)? Do I have a setting somewhere preventing this or is just one of those things? Drag and drop works fine and dandy at the event, track, and the project level.
Thought maybe it was a quirk in V8, but V6 denies me just the same.
