need your help! I installed a Western Digital CardBus IEEE 1394 Adaptor on my laptop Dell Dimension 2100. WINxp, 128mb ram, using a firewire hard drive 7200rpm made by ezquest. After 20 minutes I drop frames. Using Sony DSRPD150 DVCAM camcorder.
Then, I trashed the WD in favor of a Maxtor ieee 1394 cardbus card and it worked with no dropped frames. Tested for one hour, but have yet to test more.
Any issues with CardBus? Do you recommend CardBus for on-the-go capture if you're outta tape, like me? Please reply anyone, thank you very much,
