drum loops in vegas

Is there a way to effectively change the bpm/tempo of drums loops like discrete drums in Vegas (2.0), or is this more a function of Acid? I don't think using the stretch/compress feature in Sound Forge is a solution based on the glitchy results I get, not to mention the tedium of editing that many tracks. Appreciate your thoughts,

Yes,
Use the Vegas Timestretch options. Vegas 5 has eccentially all the control Acid has on loops now. If you Acidize a loop (ie assign the original BPM to a loop), Vegas will automatically calculate the time stretch to meet the project tempo. For non drum loops, you can change the pitch, to meet your projects key signature. Vegas will display the original key signature and you can change the pitch and it will show the new key signature on the event.

You see, if you ask in a quizative way, I will happily give someone assistance. But when you post a message like "Help trying to find $150 worth", and then go on to put the program down, and your viewpoint of why it's not even worth $150 dollars to you, then you're really not asking for help are you? You're deliberately trying to show your viewpoint, and it is really not a question anymore, you're expressing YOUR OPININON of why you feel like Vegas is not worth a $150 upgrade to you. Well, that's fine, if it's not worth the $150 and you choose not to upgrade, then that's your choice. Don't act like a $150 is a major investment, when there are other users using the same program that will happily pay $150 for some of the features included in V5. Sorry if those features didn't include everyone's needs, it just isn't possible to make everyone happy. If it was possible, there would only be one piece of software available and we all would be using it.

thanks Red...you mention Vegas 5, but I have Vegas 2.0. and acidized loops don't open automatically with the project's tempo designated in audio properties. I can do the change legth/pitch dialog in properties-audio event, but that requires a calculation. I was hoping that I can say, designate a project at 120bpm, activate metronome (if desired), open a 100bpm acidized loop and have it play at 120bpm, in sync with the metronome. In V2, it seems this would require some math, unless I'm missing something...

You are correct. This was a new feature added to v5.0.
