I can't seem to get my device working within DVD Architect. The device I have is a Sony DRX-700UL on a Sony VAIO TR series laptop. I can use Nero to erase DVD+RW's...

Make sure you are running the latest version of DVDA. If you are, then my suggestion would be to report the specifics of your problem formally to Sony (click on the support link at the top of the page) and use Nero to do your burning and DVDA to do just your authoring.

I have notice that not only DVDA is affected, but also SoundForge. They don't seem to open the device. With the devicemanager open, I do notice the software does request/search for them. I always use the latest version :P... at the moment that is the 'a' release (build 121 if not mistaken) and use the latest firmware for the burner. So I will try to get in touch with Sony... Thank you for the reply.
