Not included as part of Vegas 5. Many of us have requested an optional plug-in or the ability for DVD-A to use a third party generated DTS file.

If you would like to help, select "support" and "product suggestion" and ask for DTS support.

A DTS render plug-in for Vegas, with compatibility in DVDA, has come up several times recently. Would you be willing to pay for this? How much?

I'd pay 500 for a dts plugin that supports DTS96/24

The quote I received for the new DTS-ES (6.1-channel discrete audio) was around $1100. For DTS-ES & DTS 24/96, I'd probably be willing to spend up to that amount. For standard 5.1-channel DTS, I think $500-$600 is reasonable.

DVDA should be able to accept an already DTS encoded *.wav file whether or not it was generated in Vegas.

is that true?....that DVDA accepts DTS encoded wavs?

I believe that was the request for what we would like to see on a future DVDA release. I don't believe DVDA can do that.
