no preset, but the dockable windows let you set it up as you like.
You can place/size them as you want.

And... once you have placed the windows where you like you can save various arrangements as different workspace configurations accessible via keyboard shortcuts. Very cool!

i use vegas 4, and would like to know if the program has a preset setup for dual monitors kind of like avid has??

IF you upgrade to Vegas 5.

You don't need Vegas 5 for dual monitors to work!
To save workspace config yes. But that's hardly reason enough to upgrade. There are lots of other good reasons ( or not depending on your POV).

I wasn't saying you needed Vegas 5 to use dual monitors. I was saying you needed Vegas 5 to save multiple layouts. The initial post said the person was still on Vegas 4 which cannot save multiple layouts but CAN be setup to use dual monitors.

ok ok i get it!! thx all of u! and damn how i miss Avid

You miss AVID? Why? Because it has a templated dual monitor setup? So does Vegas. Version 5. If you don't want templated layouts, Vegas 4 gives you that, too. Avid didn't have this in earlier versions. I was one of the guys with an early Appian Graphics Geronimo card trying to show the guys at Avid how great this would be back in version 2.
Avid has never been cheaper, so I don't quite understand the "missing Avid" comment. Vegas runs circles around Avid in most every feature excepting OMF/AAF, and bin management.
