Dual Processor Support & Vegas

Okay, this has now sparked my interest and I need to know what other users are experiencing with Dual P4 Processors, & XP Pro.

I'm very interested because I've seen some talk in previous threads of users being disatisfied with Dual Processor results with Vegas, but I'm not clear if this is an issue with Vegas or the lack of a dual processor functionality in these users' machines.

Some users mentioned using XP home and 98 and neither of these OSs allows for multi-threading.

SonyPCH can you give me some insight into this, please?

I'm interested in a reply too as Sonar 3 now supports dual processors.

Todd,

My machine is functioning properly with the ACPI Multiprocessor Hal - I am 100% sure of this. I've had both Win 2K and XP Pro installed with the same (bad) experiences in Vegas 4 where Vegas 2 was considerably better. That stated, Nuendo 2.1 works beautifully and spreads the load evenly between both of my processors- I am getting far more DX effects than I was with Vegas.

I'm not sure why you are so convinced that I'm an idiot and cannot properly set up a dual processor machine.......

Woah Fishtank,

When did I say you were an idiot?

....?????

WTF?

When did I say you're an idiot?

I have concerns about this like you do........ EZ DUDE!

You said to run a search, I did and found conflicting information.

I started a new thread as not to confuse it with a whole different thread.

I wasn't referring to you..... Did you have w98 or wxp home? If not, I'm not sure where you correlated my response to you and/or your system.
