Duration and Transitions For Stills

Using VMS 6.0b - AFTER I have added a bunch of stills to a track, other than doing each one individually by dragging around on the track, can I grab a group of stills and assign a standard duration AFTER they have been added? I know the preferences allows me to have a standard when I am adding them for the first time, but I want some stills to be 5 seconds, some 4.5, some 6, etc. And, I want to be able to grab the same group and assign a standard transition to that group, such as dissolve, cross-fade, etc.

This is a standard feature in Slide Show To Go - Where do I find it in VMS 6.0b??

You don't. Vegas doesn't have this.

You can sort of achieve this a little bit at a time. If you select a group of contiguous photos and Group them, you can then use Ctrl-drag at the end of the last photo of that group to stretch them all out longer together, or squish them all shorter.

I'll give that a try. That's at least something. Thanks!

I don't have Vegas with me at the moment, but could you set the duration on one clip, then "copy", then select the other clips and PEA? (paste event attributes)

Length (duration) isn't one of the attributes that is copied.

You could set the duration on one still, then copy it a bunch of times, then right-click drag the other stills onto the copies and select "add as take", which should adopt the length (and other attributes).

Though I don't know if this gains that much over just re-setting default still length and then re-adding all of them :(
