I live in sunny hot sandy Fl. and it seems the dust problem is worse here than it was in my old home town Chicago.
I just finshed the funderfull 2 hour task of partialy disassembling my work area to remove the dust bunnys and layer on all the surfaces that I cant reach on my weekly wipe down.
Having two computer monitors and a tv is a dust magnet in and of themselves plus my cpu.
Anybody have any tips tricks , besides a bubbleboy eclosure.?

I live in Eastern New Mexico which is in the desert and high winds are not uncommon (we're moving soon thank God). Other than yelling at the kids when they're standing there with the door open, there's nothing (reasonable) you can do. My studio/editing bay takes up about 800 sq ft in a very large family area with the back door 20-30 feet from my equipment so I have to do lots of cleaning which entails a duster and a can of air. We're about to move to a 5 bedroom house in a not so desert like/not so windy part of the state and I get the master bedroom to use for my business. I convinced my wife that the savings on the canned air would eventually pay for the extra room I get : )

My equipment seems to breed dust, it's everywhere. Compressed air and contact cleaner are 2 products I use so much now I don't know how I made it without them.

90% of dust is human debris, sluffed off dead cells and hair! Yuk! It's unavoidable if you are human, the more humans (and other living things) in the house the more dust.

A suction hose on the vac is my first choice. Compressed air gets it away from sensitive areas but only moves it somewhere else which must be removed still.

I thought 90% was from carpeted homes. Anyway what I do is upgrade the computers every three years, remove the dust from the case, install all of the new components (95%) and I'm good for three more
years.

I use a 'wife'. I find them pretty good at keeping the dust away. Just make sure that everythings switched off before allowing her into the room!

Wait for it...
