DV Architect renders my already rendered video resulting in grainy, dark totally bad picture. After creating a video (Vegas) what's the best way to create DVD without double-render.
Render in Vegas so that it is small enough to fit on the DVD to begin with. It sounds like you may DVDA may be re-rendering to make it small enough to fit on the DVD. Another alternative, give DVDA an AVI file and let it do ALL of the rendering.
Remember DVDA will always rerender mpegs unless they meet its requirements. Use the DVD Architect templates when you render to mpeg to make a compliant mpeg that will not need to be rendered by DVDA.
But also keep in mind that DVDA will automatically rerender anything to make it fit by rerendering at a lower bitrate. If you are way over the 4.2 gig limit, it may really crank up the compression. If you have a compliant mpeg and something else that needs to be rendered, DVDA will try applying all the needed compression to just those other files, so if one video gets all the compression, it could really look bad.
Keep everything well below 4.2 gig to avoid this. If quality is more important then render time, use avi files and let DVDA choose the best bitrate.
