DV Capture Brings in Clips with mono audio

I have this one DV mini tape with important stuff on it. Whenever I capture from it and drag the clip into the timeline... the audio track is mono. It is represented in the timeline as a one channel track. When I listen to the tape in my camera, I can hear 2 discreet channels, but after it passes through the firewire during capture it's mono. I need both channels and I am kinda stuck. Next step will be to pull the audio off seperately... which will be a total bummer. Anyone ever seen this?

Just guessing, was it shot with a Sony PX10? If so you need to get Scenalyser as a Capture tool. Go to www.scenalyser.com and download . It is a much better capture tool than the one in Vegas. I can't expain why a Sony program cannot capture both soundtracks fro a Sony camera, but it is a fact. Scenalyser is highly recomended by many on this forum.
