DV control on Print to tape

I'm using a Sony DCR-45.
It works perfectly on capture - that is I can cue the deck and batch digitize.
When I go to Print to Tape, it puts out a beautiful signal, but it won't cue the deck, although the feature is indicated, but it's greyed out.
Is it possible to do?
Will it be frame accurate so I can punch in?

you cannot cue to a point on a dv tape and do a frame accurate insert edit using OHCI/1394 device control, sorry.

Why is it in the Print to DV menu?

You should be able to control and cue, but frame accuracy is not likely.

If the cue is greyd-out, You might check the Vegas Capture:

Options>Preferences>General "Close current device when in file playback mode" - Should be UNticked...
