DV encoder type

I can't seem how to figure out to to save DV with dv type 1 compression. Everything I capture is type 2 compression. IS there a way to save it type 1?? Thanks

What are you using to capture?

With Scenalyzer (not Vegas), it's a simple drop down selection as to type.

I am just curious as to why you want type 1? Especially since everything else is type 2.

What for? - Vegas only produces Type 2, by capturing and by rendering.

If nothing else, I'm pretty sure you can import type-2 files into MovieMaker (the toy NLE that comes with WinXP) and save the file as type-1 as that's the only file type it can save..
