PC. WIN 2K. VF2C. VIDEO STUDEO 6. CANOPUS ADVC100. ELINK 1394.

I hope you can help me on this weid problem.
I use Canopus ADVC100 which is connected to a "I will elink 1394 firewire card"
in my computer. I can connect a vcr to the ADVC1OO and Sonic foundry Video Factory 2c sees it and can capture. but when I connect my SHARP VL-MC500E DV CAMERA to the ADVC1OO 4pin dv input, the Video Factory 2c cannot capture or preview, what happens is, I go to capture in VF2c and the video menu displays 2 "microsoft dv camera and vcr's, I click on either and the screen goes blue then black. The timebase is registering o/k.
If I feed my sharp dv camera directly to the 1394 card and not thru the ADVC100 it works o/k providing I switch off the ADVC100. and then, in the capture window of VF2c there will be only one "microsoft dv camera and vcr" (when going directly thru the 1394 card.)
And yet I can connect my Sharp dv camera to the ADVC100 via the 4pin dv input and it will register and reconize my camera and capture in Uleads Video studeo 6, no problems.
I want to use the SF VF2c so would be more than grateful if anyone could give me
some advice. It just seems that Video Factory does not reconize my sharp dv camera. I have tried just about everything but cannot get the capturing of dv from my Sharp camera working in VF2c.
Please help I am stuck!
