This post solved my month long dilemma with my ability to print to ANY DV device, capture was always fine, but print would not happen. Just dropped frames, no video, freeze up and other stuff. I'm running on XP with the same specs outlined in the above post.
*NOTE*
This fix is very specific for KT7A-RAID board, but something tells me this could be a wide scale fix for many others using VIA chipset motherboards. It all boils down to memory timing issues it seems, and taking care to read this post and seeing if your bios settings are close to these settings may solve your print to tape issues.
So, a bump to this great post from last year hoping it will help others.
