Am I missing something on PTT? Ok... wait befor you answer that...
Is there no deck control (ie, shuttle, jog, etc) so I can line up a blacked tape and put a specific spot (I am talking about cable commercials in this case) at a specific time code? Right now, I go to Batch Capture, line up my tape to the desired time code, close that down, hit stop on the deck (a Sony DSR1500), go to File, Print To Tape and then Crash edit.
That has been working fine, but shouldn't I be able to do that all from one interface? I just read the Help on PTT from the Capture interface, but that only talked about printing clips, not projects.
Also, When I line up the tape using Capture's shuttle, the time code is correct (say, 00:55.00.00. When I go to Print To Tape and then Crash, the timecode there is incorrect by many, many seconds. I ignore that and just tell it to GO and it lays in just fine at the proper time code. So it's a non-issue, but still seems conunter intuitive and odd.
Am I doing something wrong? or is this The Way It Is?
