DV Tape to VHS Tape

Hello everyone, My question is "How do I get MiniDV contents to VCR VHS Tape? I want to be able to copy raw Minidv to VHS for raw footage of a wedding. Thanks.

Outputs of MiniDV camera or deck to Video Inputs of VCR. Play on MiniDV, Record on VHS. You don't even need to use Vegas at all if you have nothing to edit.

If you have a DV camera with analogue outs, the easiest way is to:
1. hook your DV camera to your computers's firewire ports
2. hook your VCR up to your DV camera's analog outs
3. put your DV camera in "VCR" mode
4. disable "use device control" in the print to tape dialog
5. print to tape from Vegas. You'll get a numeric countdown
6. hit "record" on your VHS VCR when you get to "zero" on the Vegas countdown.

If you're in Europe, though, your DV camera may not allow you to put firewire in, though....
