DVCPRO50 Support in Vegas

With the introduction of the Panasonic 900 camera and the introduction of firewire card for some of their decks, it seems that it would be wonderful if Vegas could capture and write DVCPRO50. I know that at this point, Final Cut Pro supports it, but I am not sure about Vegas. Dr. Dropout posted somewhere that their was a downloadable codec availble and that it would allow Vegas to handle the higher end format. If that be the case I would like to know where? Thanks.

The codec is on the Matrox web site. I'm not sure where, but it included the Matrox DVCPro, DVCPRo50, Mpeg-2, and DV codec's.

The Matrox DVCPRO50 codec is in the support section for the Matrox Digisuite cardset.

So with Vegas and the Matrox DVCPRO50 codec, you can capture/edit/print DVCPRO50 footage?

You can read and write DVCPro 50 if you have the codecs installed. Capture/print are not supported at this time.
