Vegas currently can't read the Panasonic .mxf files from P2. Raylight is the answer. That said, if you haven't purchased the cam yet, RENT ONE first. Shoot Chromakey, shoot a flashlight in a dark room. Key one, try to do anything with the other. If you have any one of the HDV flavors available at the same time, do the same with it. Decide for yourself which you find a better image. Differences are not minute. They're significant.

Yes. I intend to do tests with it. I have access to one. I just found raylight as well so thanks for that.

And Coursedesign, thanks for the article. I had been to the dv film website and gotten most of that info but the article was good too..

OK so that brings me up to speed. Will be interesting to see how this develops.
