DVD-A 5.2 Menus Recompress

Hello Everyone:

I've figured out how to render my video and audio from Pro 10 so that it does not recompress in DVD-A 5.2. This is true for DVD and BD discs.

Now I'm wondering about my DVD-A menus and their related audio. When I choose Optimize Disk I see that the menus and their related audio will be recompressed because:

*Media is not compliant with the disc format
*Video format doesn't match project
*Asset contains composited graphics

Is it a big deal if the menus are recompressed? I don't perceive a loss of quality in the menus, but if there is a way to avoid having the menus recompress, I would like to learn about it. It is also odd that the various DVD-A themes are "non-compliant" and will be recompressed. I must be missing something with regard to my project settings.

Regards,

Kimberly

Menus have to be combined into a single file. Since they start out as a combination of backgrounds, text, and interactive buttons, etc., they will always be rendered.

Thanks Musicvid!

Sounds like recompression is not a bad thing with regard to menus in DVD-A?

In fact, it's inevitable, as musicvid says.
