One of the greatest ease of use features of Vegas is that you can drop
Photoshop files right onto a video track. No need to save as .png
So, I can swap back and forth twixt Vegas and Photoshop, tweaking each
as I go along.
As long as the timeline is not playing in Vegas, I can update and save
changes to the .psd files in Photoshop. I swap back to Vegas and the
image is automagically updated.
So, I was pleased to find out that DVD-A can work with .psd files in its
menu/page editor.
BUT, it does not appear to work with layer transparency of .psd files.
Say, I have a photoshop file with a single layer that is 50% transparent.
When I load this into DVD-A, it goes to 0% transparent.
Minor, but I figure it should behave the same as Vegas.
One other thing, as noted in a post I just made, DVD-A locks media files
and keeps them locked until the project is closed. Unlike Vegas, where if
the timeline is not playing I can make changes to media files in other apps.
DVD-A keeps these files opened and locked, EVEN THOSE THAT ARE NOT
USED ANYMORE in a given project.
