DVD-A does not recognize Sony Drive

We just purchased DVDA with Vegas along with a Sony DRX-510UL drive. Architect does not recognize the drive.

I have updated the firmware, and am running the latest version of Architect.

These are both Sony products. You would think that they would test that they work together!

I am grateful for any tips or suggestions.

Maybe you are doing something wrong, as well as posting in the wrong forum.

I dunno, G., the machine recognizes the drive from the Settings>Control Panel>System>Hardware Profiles manager, so the driver seems to be loaded.

My experience is that the hardware people will tell me that it is a software problem, and the software people will tell me that it is hardware problem.

You are actually in the CDA forum here, not the DVD Arch forum.

But wrt the drive support, see if you can dig up that pre-empted press release re Vegas 5. Presumably there will be a DVD-A update to coincide.
