DVD-A freezing

I,ve recently bought this software (Vegas Studio and DVD). Did editing and preparing DVD. When i press button for "make DVD", the programme just freezes and locks computer. I,ve done virus scan and spyware removal, but still the same problem!!

I'm using Win XP/ NEC 3500 burner

Any ideas??

are you using an external firewire DVD burner, or an internal DVD burner?

I'm having the same unresolvable problem... just hangs, no way out. What I'm thinking of as a work-around is to unplug my DVD drive before I hit Make DVD... then just prepare it and store the image somewhere...

I'm thinking that then, I'll just burn the DVD image using Nero Burning ROM. will that work? My firewire DVD drive comes up fine in Nero.
