I'm using TDK DVD+R discs with DVDA3. No problems at all.

Memorex DVD+/-RW drive.

I burned a Verbatim DL+R disk with DVDA 3.0. No problems (well, except the subtitle issue, but that does not seem to be burn-related).

Update. Changed out Pioneer AO-9 to Plextor 716A and DVDA-3 burned all DVD+R and DVD-R discs ok.

You know, I've been seeing all sorts of posts about problems with the Pioneer A09.

I've got one and it works great. Not one single problem.

However, I've never once tried to burn a DVD+R or DVD+RW disc, only the minus variety. Perhaps all the A09 problems are related to some issue it has with +R disks? That's what it seems to me, from reading these posts. Thus, if you want to continue using the A09 in another computer, try using DVD-R disks.

Of course, if you bought it to burn DL, and since DL is only +R, then perhaps you should look elsewhere.

I was more curious then anything. Just wondered what was up with burning the +R stuff. I always use the -R. I installed the AO-9 into another slower computer and it did the same thing with DVD-A3. The -R's burned fine but the +r's would not finalize. The burner would shut off right after the tracks were done burning.
