DVD Arch. 1.0d burning problems

I recently had to replace my DVD burner after 4 years with a new one. I put a Liteon burner that supports all of the major formats. I am using USDM pro series media and have had no issues in the past. The project prepares and burns as normal and DVD Arch. reports that the disc was created successfully. When I try to play the DVD in a set top player, or the computer drive it does not even reckognize a disc in the tray. Nothing has changed except the burner. I can use Nero to burn successful data discs. Also, I burned the project at 4x and 2x with the same results. Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Troy

Heh. Um.

DVDA 1.0 had very, very poor support for burners even way back when, so it would not surprise me if it has trouble with one manufacturered recently.

You could try another type/brand of media, but ultimately I think your choices will be to keep using Nero to burn or to upgrade to a new version of DVDA. If you hurry, you can still move up to Vegas 8 and DVDA 4.5 for $135 (ends today).

I will eventually upgrade to version 8, but that will also require me to update my computer to WinXP Pro. W2K is still working fine for the moment and don't want to make the expense right now. I have found a work-around by just preparing the project and then using ImageBurn to author the disc(s). It's a bit of a pain, but it works. Thanks for the advice though.
