DVD Arch 5.0 & Xvid

I am new to the world of video editing and DVD creation. I bought Veags 8 and DVD Arch 4.5 and had no problems bringing an Xvid-rendered animation (MPEG-4 CODEC) into DVDA 4.5. Two days ago I did the free upgrade to DVDA 5.0 and now I can't bring in an Xvid-rendered animation (same MPEG-4 CODEC) into DVDA 5.0...I tried other CODECS and they work in 5.0, but these CODECs render much slower than Xvid, their resolution is not as good as Xvid, and the file sizes are much larger. Any help?

Thanks,
Charley

You should only bring MPEG-2 into DVDA. This is the only codec supported by DVD players. If you encode to DiVX and the bring these into DVDA, they will be re-encoded to MPEG-2 and quality will suffer, at times significantly.
