dvd arch upgrade problem

I upgraded to DVD Arch 4 when I upgraded to Vegas 7. I put 3 .mpg files on the menu screen. Two of the files were created in Vegas 4 some time ago. The third file was created in Vegas 7. For some reason, the file created in Vegas 7 works fine. The other two files' audio does not work (even though they work fine in a media player). And sometimes the icon on the screen says "Render Failure". I made a DVD Arch project of those first two files using vers. 2, before the upgrade to vers. 4. My guess is something between Vegas 4 renders and DVD Arch. 4. Does anyone know what the problem is and can I solve it?
Thanks

I'm unsure if you're talking about video only streams with ac3 audio, or muxed mpg2.

Generally the video is interchangeable -- I often use Vegas 4 to render video rather than version 7. The Sony ac3 decoders however are a bit different, and you may have to re-render them if you've still got the original audio files, or convert to .wav and encode to ac3. If this is your problem then you might get away with re-registering older Sony decoders with Windows, but trying to do so might screw up your working installs of Vegas 7 & DVDA 4.

At any rate, please post what format your problem audio files are in, if they are separate streams, etc...

I don't know what the problem is, but this is what I did so that I could use all three video files: I put the already rendered (.mpg) files that were created and rendered in V4 into a new V7 project and rerendered it. The newly rendered file works fine in DVD Arch4. I don't think this is the best solution, but it worked okay.
