Bergie, the whole answer is on the first page of the manual and help file. Please read then ask your questions from what you read...otherwise no more I can do for you.

How does DVDA work? DVD Architect is a DVD authoring program whereas Vegas is a video editing program. The two tasks are obviously related, but they are usually kept separate because the user interface really has to be quite different for each task.

I've editing a 2+hr project in VP11. How do I get it to DVDA? Do I have to start from scratch in DVDA? I find no way to import the iso or .veg file into DVDA.As others have already said, most of this is covered in the manual. However, here is the short version: in Vegas, render the your project to both a video and an audio file. For the video, you must use MPEG-2 (since that is what a DVD uses). So, in the Vegas Render As dialog, select MPEG-2, and then select one of the DVD Architect templates. You choose either NTSC (if you are in North America) or PAL (if you live elsewhere) and then you choose either the standard (4:3) or the widescreen template, depending on the aspect ratio of your project. You then render the audio using the AC-3 or WAV option. AC-3 is a better option for most users because it takes up less space. Use either the stereo or 5.1 template, depending on the nature of the audio in your Vegas project. Ideally, you should use the exact same name for both the video and the audio; only the extension (MPG and AC3) will be different.

Once you have rendered these files, you can just drop them into DVDA and begin your DVD authoring there.

This is how most professional programs work.

P.S. You might want to re-visit a post you made over a year ago which covers pretty much this same topic:

Project too long for DVD

From reading those posts, it sounds like you did know, at one time, how to get video from Vegas to DVDA, and that you understood the differences between the two programs.

Here is a link to some free tuts. Also be sure to watch the archived Gary Rebholz webinars as they will answer many of the basic "how do I get started" questions. Good luck : )
