NDA's prevent anyone who knows from answering these questions.

Oops, sorry. Do we at least know when the questions will be answered or the release date of the product?

Well, since they are doing training sessions on 3.0 during the upcoming NAB convention in Las Vegas, the release probably isn't too far off.

Official announcement is at NAB in just under two weeks (starts April 18th). If you read through the past few days of posts in the Vegas forum, there have been rumors / leaks (that may or may not be true) regarding the new features of Vegas and DVDA. I don' t like to repeat rumors, but I'll mention that one of the features you ask about has been mentioned as being included in DVDA3.

But note that 1) this hasn't been substantiated, I don't think, by anyone of known reliability.* 2) Just because the other two features weren't mentioned in these rumors (should they be true) doesn't mean they aren't included in DVDA3.

Edit: Actually, two of the features you mention are allegedly in DVDA3 according to one rumor/leak.

Rob

* If anyone feels like reminding me about DSE's article about Nightline, I'll remind them that I'm referring to DVD Architect features and that DVD Architect was not mentioned in that article. ;-)

The April issue of Studiomonthly has a full page Sony ad for Vegas+DVD Production Suite with Vegas 6, DVD Architect 3.

"An industry standard, Vegas 6 software now includes: comprehensive HDV support; SD/HD SDI capture, editing and export using Blackmagicdesign's DeckLink boards; enhanced multi-processor support; next generation DVI/VGA external monitoring; project ensting; AAF import/export; VST effectsw; broadcast WAV support and superior framerate conversions.

DVD Architect 3 software now features dual-layer authoring and burning; mastering to DLT, DDP, CMF; CSS and Macrovision encryption tools; Photoshop (PSD) layer support; multi-angle selection and more."

Note: I just cut this from another post over on the Vegas forum. But this the best rumor/leak info.

Will it finally work with Sony burners?
