DVD Architect Abandonware is the King of Crashes

I have 60 .avc files rendered with Sony Vegas Pro 12 64-bit build 563, for Blu-Ray Disc, Sony AVC, and 60 .ac3 files.

My plan is to author a BD with 4 menus with 15 chapters links each.

My nightmares begin when I am trying to import these .avc files into DVD Architect. If I drag and drop all at a time, the program crash. If I drag and drop once each, the program crash at 10th or 11th file.

I am using a powerful machine, with i7 8-core processor, 8gb RAM, and I have absolutely no problem with Adobe Encore CS5. This bug is a very shame to Sony.

I bought the license of Sony Vegas Pro, and I like to have at least one decent support for DVD Architect. Unfortunately, DVD Architect is an abandonware!

JUst and FYI - DO NOT USE Version 6 DVDAPro for any serious attempt at authoring. Your version should be 5.0b or perhaps 5.2.

Be careful where you are dragging /dropping. and when! You should be using the media insert dialogue at the appropriate menu. Keep in view your file order and author tree pane. Test whether you have a good file in the 10th or 11th position. It could be a trigger file that is your import problem.
Keep in mind the file sizes and sequence of them, could indicate some volume triggers ( this in Version 6- don't use it.)

If you are dragging and dropping, you are most likely doing so on the Menu timeline, instead of the Media timeline, where they belong. As suggested, use Insert Media.

As you are a first-time poster, I advise against accusatory and attention-seeking topics.

I uninstalled ver 6.0 and reinstaled ver. 5.1. No way! the program does not handle many files. The problem is because it is 32-bit, and have no way to avoid thumbnails in timeline. This uses many RAM!

It only needs to handle two kinds of video files; BluRay compliant MPEG-2 and AVC.
Audio files; BluRay compliant AC3 and PCM.
Importing other file types to be re-rendered in Architect is not an optimal workflow.
