DVD Architect - Automatic Menu Page

Hi all,

Was wondering can anyone tell me in DVD-ARCH how I can set a DVD to automatically load itself to the menu page, like the way a movie rental does?

When the DVD is inserted into a standard DVD player, I want the DVD to automatically go to its menu page, without the user having to press MENU on the remote.

Many thanks.

When I create a DVD with a menu, the menu always comes up first when I place the DVD into a player.

What comes up when you first put the DVD in?

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the reply.

When i out the DVD in, it loads and then just stops.
If I press PLAY on the remote, it plays the first title.
If I press MENU on the remote, it plays the menu page, and I can then select the title or scene I want.

But iI am making the DVD for others, and I want them to be brought to the MENU page straight away when they put the DVD in.

Any ideas?

When you have your project open in DVDA, your menu option on the left column should have a purple star next to it. This indicates first play. You can make anything you want to be first play on the DVD.

Right click your menu and set First Play.

Hi Dave T2- Just to be technical but when I try this there is no linkage that says "set First Play"

Mine has a

Navigate Into
Rename
Delete
Set Start Item
Insert Scene...
Explore Menu...

I am using DVD A - Version 5.0 Build 128

Is my version using the words "Set start item?" instead.

Thanks,
Bill
