DVD Architect can't do a simple menu w/ 10 links ???

Hello!

I'm authoring a DVD with DVD Architect a bundled software with Vegas Video 4 and when I get to burn the disc , it tells me that the menus exceed the limit of 1Gb total for all menus. This does not allow me to burn the DVD.

I've tried doing a simple DVD project of 10 clips plus one menu with 10 links and the same thing happens. The "background media" which is the picture of the menu background is only 200K-JPEG picture and the links are "subtitles picture overlays". It seems I'm doing something wrong or Sonic Foundry needs to correct this. How could a single menu with 10 links prevent a DVD project ? Other less expensive software from Ulead allows many more menus and links than this. Please help !!!!

As a side note: I had ANOTHER project doing an instructional video. The series of mpeg clips amounted to 4.2Gb, when I inserted 3 menus with 12 links per menu, the project went to 10.2Gb. How much space does a single link take in a menu consisting of a simple 200K-JPEG picture as a background (no sound or other media) ?

Thank You
