Thanks, I figured out how to get the chapters on by putting in markers. The chapters come up. I can push edit to do the first page but how do you change the size and chapter names on the following page. I just get small squares with labels at bottom of squares. Does that make sense?

The second editing tool that has a square divided in quarters is the 'resizing' tool. Select that and you'll be able to drag the borders of the menu items larger or smaller. Select multiple menu items and you can resize them all together.

Also in the upper right properties window you can select Media and type in X & Y positions and height & width sizes manually if you prefer.

Here's my workflow for taking a "scene selection" menu created automatically by DVD Architect when you select the "insert scene selection menu" from the right-click pop-up menu. The first two steps are optional, and are only required if you wish to only have image or only have text on your clickable links. I seldom use images, and only have text.

1. Select all the links that point to your video. The fastest way to do this has already been described: point the mouse to an empty area in a corner of the screen, press and hold the left mouse button, and then move the mouse so the selection rectangle "captures" all the items you wish to select.

2. Go to the Button Properties dialog on the rights side of the screen, click on the Media tab, and change the Button Style to Text Only, or one of the other options, depending on what you're trying to do.

If you didn't need to do steps 1&2, you can start here, with step 3.

3. Place all the buttons in the approximate locations you want them to appear. This is easier to do prior to resizing.

4. Select the button closest to the upper left corner of the screen. Grab the sizing handles and re-size it. In addition, changes its font, color, shadow, and any other characteristics you thing need to be changed.

5. With this first button still selected, right-click, and select Copy to copy that button to the clipboard.

6. Select ALL the buttons, including the first one, using the technique already described.

7. Right click on any one of the buttons (make sure you are over the button before you right-click, or all the selections will go away). Right click and go down to the Paste Attributes item, and from the fly-out menu select Size. Make sure to do this first.

8. With everything still select, bring up Paste Attributes again, but this time select Text Properties. This will paste all the font, color, and other settings that you applied to the first button.

9. To line up all the items (if that is what you want), select all the items you want to align (I sometimes have multiple columns of buttons, so I align one column at a time). Once they are all selected, you can select the left align button from the toolbar (or whatever else you think makes sense). You can then select the space evenly vertically button so that all the buttons are the same distance apart in the vertical direction.
