DVD Architect no longer completes DVD burn

I can no longer get DVD Architect 6 to complete a DVD burn. It goes from render then prepare then burn. Part way through the burn (different place each time) the drive light goes out and the time left continues to go down to 0 and the elapsed time continues to count up, even past an hour. No warnings or errors show up. I have tried burning at 4x, same result. This used to just happen once in a while but now happens all the time. I can take the prepared file and Imgburn will burn it without problem. I have redownloaded and reinstalled DVDA, same result. I have found that I can uncheck "use legacy disc drivers" in preferences and it will work, but it takes longer. I am using Falcon 8x DVD-R media. Blu-rays burn without problem. So I have a work-around, but I would like to know whats happening.

Are you able to create Prepared Files on your hard drive?

If not, how much free, clean space is on your hard drive?

And what type of video are you using as your DVD Architect source footage? Ideally it should be video rendered from Vegas or MovieStudio in a format that's optimized for DVD (Main Concept MPEG2).

Yes I can create prepared files in DVDA and they will burn using Imgburn, but not with DVDA unless I deselect "Use legacy disc drivers". And this is video from Vegas 12 using " DVD Architect NTSC video stream" preset at 5meg average bit rate VBR, abour 4.2 g file size.

DVDAPro 6 is broken should NOT be used. Repeat it is not a product without serious flaws. DO NOT USE - revert to 5.0b or 5.2
