DVD Architect Not Found after Render From V.M.S.

Hi, I was having problems with DVD 3.0c version of DVD Architect so I downloaded the trial version 4.5 from the web hoping this would correct the problem.

When I attempt to burn my DVD project from Vegas Movie Studio it says that there is no current version of DVD Architect to transfer the rendering to and my program hangs.

Is there some way to point from DVD Architect to Vegas Movie Studio or vice versa so it knows to use the latest programs from each?

Ideas?
Much Thanks...

No. The button in VMS is hardcoded to launch the DVD Architect Studio that comes with that version of VMS. You should be able to launch the trial version of 4.5 from its own icon, though.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the feedback. That did the trick.

Another thought, I just purchased the upgrade for VMS 8 Platinum/DVD Architect 4.5. I'm assuming it is a full version. Any recommendations on whether I need to uninstall my old version of VMS6/DVD Architect 3 or can I just upgrade when I get the new software (VMS8/DVDA 4.5)?

Again, Thanks!

Generally the different versions of SCS software co-exist quite harmlessly, though I've never used VMS. The new software simply installs along side of previous versions -- it won't update what you have already, except for file type associations. Un-installing older software frees up disc space, whereas leaving it installed sometimes proves handy when the newer version doesn't work properly or does something not quite as well. Unfortunate but true, I've had that sort of thing happen, as have others (browse thru older threads if curious).

I will keep that in mind, thanks!

Thanks also for taking the time to counsel an amateur like me....
