DVD Architect Studio Hangs on Burn

was hoping someone here could help - just purchased movie studio + DVD and rendered a 1:20 long concert performance. first tried to set it up as a menu based dvd in DVDA and it would recompress the file and then burn it, and eventually the progress meter would reach 100%, but the program would just hang, indefinitely. I would cancel the burn and then DVDA would crash. then tried to set up as a single movie DVD and the same thing happened.

i'm using sony dvd+r media and have an athlon 64 3400 w/512 RAM...any advice is appreciated!

You might try searching the forum using the manufacturer of your burner to see if others have reported similar problems. There are so many different burners on the market and not all of them conform exactly the the specification for "talking" to them. For folks that have a burner that doesn't work with DVDA, your only options are to 1) get a different burner, 2) use something like Nero to burn the prepared project.

One thing you mentioned though - DVDA should not be recompressing your video unless you rendered with the wrong template, or the resulting MPEG file was too large for the DVD (which seems unlikely with 1:20); be sure you are using one of the DVDA templates when you render.
