DVD Architect Studio Upgrade?

smakofsky wrote on 9/29/2005, 7:59 AM
While the readme for the 3.0c upgrade says that its for both DVD Architect and DVD Architect Studio, it only seems to have the upgrade for DVD Architect.

Does anyone know if there's an upgrade availalbe for DVD Architect Studio (I'm having a crash on startup, that I can't get by, hoping the update will fix it).

Updates or Upgrades? As I recall, updates for DVDAS are included with VMS updates.

Sorry, updates. The readme for the 3.0c update says it is for both DVD Architect and Architect Studio, but it doesn't seem to be.

Which version of DVDA Studio are you currently using? 2.0 or 3.0?

There are so many versions of, even, Vegas Movie Studio, I'm not even sure anymore which ones come with which DVDA Studio. As far as I can tell (?), the previous version came with DVDA Studio 2.0. The current version, as well as the Platinum Edition of the current version, come with DVDA Studio 3.0.

DVDA Studio 2.0 was very similar to DVDA 1.0. I have no idea how DVDA Studio 3.0 compares with DVDA 2.0 or DVDA 3.0.

DVDA 3.0 and DVDAS 3.0 are almost identical, they even ship with the same manual - all that's been done is that DVDAS doesn't contain what are considered "pro" features - no DLT for example; a couple of other things that escape me right now; you need to look at the manual and see if a particular feature is listed as "not present" for DVDAS.

Right.

I have DVD Architect Studio 3.0.

The update for DVD Architect from 3.0 to 3.0c states its for BOTH, but, when I install it, it's only "Dvd Architect" not "Studio".

Hi Smak,

I do see in the readme that it says it's for both, but nowhere else does it indicate this is an update for the Studio version. I have DVDAS 3.0, and when I click on the link in "My Software" for updates, this update does _not_ show up.

I think it's pretty safe to assume that is a typo in the readme file.
