I have 6 48k 16 bit mono audio files, which are L,C,R,LS,RS, LFE surround tracks taken from Pro Tools. I used the AC3 Encoder and played the Ac3 file in Cyberlink DVD player and it seems to decode fine in 5.1 DD. I am trying to burn a dvd and whenever I choose make DVD it seems to mess up the ac3 track and it only comes out stereo when I playback in Cyberlink. Is there anyway to just add the ac3 and the video track and preview it in 5.1? I noticed vegas doesn't support .ac3 files also. Is there any other program that I can just add the ac3 file and the MPEG II video and create the DVD?? Thanks!!!

Does DVDA recompress the audio?
If it does, make sure that you select AC3-5.1 in the optimize window and that the audio is not re-compressed.

I made multiple AC3 DVDs with no problems. I am using Vegas to create the AC3 files.

Not sure what you mean by Vegas not supporting ac3....You can create ac3 stereo or 5.1 in Vegas no problem (as long as you have dvda)...all you have to do is set the audio properties to ac3 stereo/5.1 in the audio section of the fiel properties...works like a charm...

as for the dvd itself, as Udi points out, change the audio type to 5.1...
