DVD Burn error

This is my 1st go around at burning a DVD on DVD Architect Studio 3.0 and I'm getting an error:

"'SFMMCX'-(17)
'atapi'-(0)
-'LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1633S BGS4'-(0)
Module sfmmcx.cpp Line 1795
A medium error occurred.
A write error occurred. Make sure your media is approved for this drive.

Status: 00020202
Command: 2a 00 00 00 00 20 00 00 20 00
Sense: 03 0c 00
Info: 00 00 00 00
Specific: 00 00 00
Extra: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 "

A brand new 8x DVD-R is in the drive, so there aren't any scratches to deal with. I've had a tough time adjusting the length of the video to fit to the disk (eventually found out that I had to render in Movie Studio to the highest settings and then hit the "fit to disk" button in DVD architect Studio). Right now the bottom right of the screen says that Disk Space Used is 4.3GB, which in other posts it seems that it *should* work. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks ahead of time!

Did you ever find a resolution to this problem?

I am experiencing the same problem. I know the DVD's I am using are fine with my burner. I can burn to them from other applications. The DVD's I am using are the inkjet printable types. DVD-Arch simply will not burn to them. I can burn to another brand of DVD, and then copy to the printable using Nero. That's wasting a lot of time, as well as DVD's.

Sure would like to know what the deal is.

DVDA is well known for issues with burning correctly depending on burner, interface, media type, etc.

Why not just use Nero to burn directly to the printable disk? No need to go to an intermediate disk.
