DVD burn speed

I burned a DVD using the X2 speed option (on a X1 or X2 4.7GB DVD) and my DVD was terrible. I did it again using the X1 speed option and it was fine.

Any reasons why this happened?

What do you mean by "terrible"?

2 possible options - your burner can't handle 2x (it sounds like it's an old burner if that's the max it can do) or poor quality media that can't handle a 2x burn.

I routinely burn 4x on Ritek media and have had no problems.
