dvd burning

Can Vegas 4.0 burn to a dvd or is Vegas+dvd needed? I have a Sony Vaio rs430g with firewire and composite video inputs. Anyone know if Vegas will work with this?

To burn a DVD you'll need some DVD authoring software. Vegas+DVD is one excellent option depending on what your requirements are. Other authoring tools are also available (in some cases at a rather substantial investment).

You are lucky to be able to render, my system shuts down when i render.
Pls, tell me about your system specs.
Meanwhile, i know that if you install dvd author software, you can burn any of its files to Dvd.

Native, not sure which OS you're using, but check your settings in Control Panel / Power Options - you may have it set to hibernate prematurely.
