You havent provided much information to go on. If you are able to create the VOBs ok then it is most likely a problem with the writing component of DVDA. If this is the case it is best to buy a copy Nero and use that to write the disks.

Indeed, you should use Nero for burning...

Do you use a single mpeg file over 4 Go? I had problem with this lastly.

Try to play your vob straight from the hard disk to see if it is really a burning prob..

Also, before you start getting comfortable burning dvd's, use rewritables first.

DVDA works just fine. Perhaps you are trying to play on older set top. I don't understand why people would suggest you use Nero to burn instead of DVDA. What burner are you using? Have you tried reading with Power DVD on computer? What files are listed when you check with Explorer? I have yet to burn a coaster with DVDA. I took burned DVDs to my local electronic store and they played on every settop in the store.

For whatever reason, my experience burning with Nero has had a much better compatibility than with burning with DVDA. Xbox, an Emac, 3 pc's with diff. dvd software and players play with dvd's burned with Nero whereas before, they didn't with DVDA. I'm sure a search in this forum will reveal as to why.

There is certainly no need to burn with Nero. It doesn't hurt, but it won't help either.

You should have a VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS directory on your DVD, once the writer has finished writing. Put it in your computer DVD drive, open up Explorer, and then tell us what files you see.

You might try looking for your DVD player in this list, just to make sure you don't have a player compatibility issue rather than a DVDA issue.
