DVD Copy Software

Hello All:

I'm looking for recommendations on CD/DVD copying software (copying, not authoring).

There are times when you just want to make an exact copy of an existing DVD (or CD or maybe one day even a BR disc). FREE software is good, but not mandatory.

I already own a copy of Roxio 10.0 Suite, but now that I have SVMS/DVD-A for video, I only use the disk copy function from Roxio. I recently installed a new hard drive so I am trying to avoid installing the Roxio Suite and cluttering my drive with stuff I don't want.

Thanks everyone.

Kim

ImgBurn is very sophisticated freeware that does a few things, and does them well. it's not a suite of bloatware like Roxio or Nero.

For copying DVDs, you would use it to create an image on your computer, then burn copies from that image.

You might try it and see how it suits you.

I second ImgBurn, I use it all the time and it has worked out great. it is simple to use and not bloated at all. Just make sure that you get the latest version, I have used it in XP, Vista, and Win 7 seems to not have any problem with any that I have found.

If you wish to back up your DVD, use DVDFab7, then burn the backups using ImgBurn.
They are all free. On DVDFab, you'd have to go to the section where it says FREE software or free download.

Many thanks, Vegas Gurus!

I downloaded ImgBurn from CNET and successfully copied a DVD. It plays on my Dell and on Ye Olde Toshiba DVD player.

Also nice to see that the software people at ImgBurn have a sense of humor. If you use the software, you will know what I mean : )
