DVD custum menu?

Will DVDA do this?
I would like to set my menu up with 10 small thumbnail images on the right and have a large window(thumbnail?) on the left. So what I would like to do is mouse over a thumbnail and have it appear in the large window with a still image describing the thumbnail content. So if you like that thumbnail you can just mouse down and play that clip full screen.
If it can't be done, then what program will do it?

Thanks

Paul

Travel Addict,

This is referred to as 'photoshop layered menus' and at the minute the only program that does this is DVDSP on the Mac platform, The effect looks great, a slight pause when the user presses a button due to the laer switching as highlights are not used. Audio or video cannot be added to the menu but the effect created far outways these limitations. The other alternative is to create a seperate menu for each button and use the auto activate feature, currently not available in DVDA 1.0.

DVD Lab will do this, as it allows you to specify auto action on the button. However, you might not be able to get a roll-over type action with a software player. You need to use a navigation control to navigate to the button in question. The VOB button navigation looks like it only responds to up/down/right/left and at least with WinDVD, doing a mouse rollover doesn't seem to cause an actual navigation command to be generated.

Anyway, as coffeebean suggested, you could build multiple motion menus that are linked together.

If you're feeling brave you could use VOBedit to go in to the DVDA VOBs and modify the auto action for the buttons manually, but it's a bit of a pain in the rear to do this.
