DVD does not work properly on player

I encounter the weirdest thing.
The DVD I created with opening menu holding buttons to several pages and clips works perfectly well within DVDA3 Preview but when I burn it on DVD and use a normal DVD player nothing seems to work.
It does not open in Page 1 (but e.g. on Page 5) and there is no expected response to remote buttons like the Menu button.
Again, all these options work perfectly well while Previewing this production within DVDA3.
I created many projects with DVDA before and never encountered a problem like this.
Any suggestions? This production is quite complicated, holding besides video clips also Picture and Music compilation.

"It does not open in Page 1 (but e.g. on Page 5)"

Check if "set dvd start" is on Page 1

Thanks, but this doesn't solve anything (as expected).
Why should I instruct DVDA to start at page 1? This would be an option if I would have my production start at any other paage than page 1.
So I am still puzzled.

See you started another thread about this subject in which you say:

"I Prepared and Burned the DVD's and now none of the two DVD's start on Page 1 with the menu buttons, but somewhere on Page 5, while the other just starts playing chapter 1, skipping Page 1 with all the menu settings".

From reading your first mail above and this new one i assumed you would like to start on Page 1 as it has all your menu settings. That's why i asked to check 'dvd menu start'.

I just never had to use this option 'DVD Mernu Start' to have my projects to start on page 1.
Now I did that it still doesn't start on page 1, nor do the remote buttons work properly like the Menu button which brings you to the DVD Player (Sony) screen on the TV.
The same occurs more or less when I play the DVD on a PC, so not only on my Sony DVD player.
I am totally clueless.
