Adding to my previous question-- The manufacturer of the duplicator said that I need to make sure the dvd is finalized. Windows dvd maker and Roxio automatically finalize. Does DVD Architect finalize? Could this be my problem?

So far as I know finalizing is a process normally associated with camcorders. The point being that an unfinalized disc can be added to. I've not encountered any issues with discs burned with DVDA.

You could try authoring with DVDA and burning with another program, such as Nero or ImgBurn to see if that helps.

Thanks Mike,
Doesn't make much since to me either. Can I export the DVDA file to another progam to burn? The reason I like DVDA is mainly for the menu options.

Yes, you can either create an ISO image (select ISO Image Writer as the burner) or burn the prepared files in the VIDEO_TS folder.

Many burning programs can accept either of these.

Thanks again Mike.
I'll play with it some more. I've heard that burning an image to disk is the way to go. This is all new to me. My church has just started to do DVD's and guess who has been elected. Thanks to people like you I'm sure I'll figure it out. Thanks again for taking the time to answer my questions.

Any device that produces a DVD or CD intended for playback will "finalize" that disc (or give the user the option to finalize it). Camcorders, DVD burners, standalone DVD recorders... The deal with camcorders (and some standalone DVD recorders) is that you usually have to specifically "tell" the device you want to finalize it. Until you do, it assumes you want to be able to add more content.

When preparing and burning a project in DVD Architect, it finalizes the disc automatically since it assumes you are done adding content.

Thanks for the info Rob.
Does anyone have any ideas why my duplicator won't recognize, read or copy a DVD thas was done from DVD Archtect?

Not a clue. My duplicating tower has never rejected a DVDA disc..

But it has failed to create DVD duplicates when I placed CD blanks in it. Yes.... true story.
