DVD Finalizing

Using Vegas for editing my video and then transferring to DVDA for burning on to a DVD+RW I am having trouble playing the resultant DVD on my DVD player?TV, although it plays on my PC and also on friends DVD players. I am informed that with my JVC DVD player I must finalize a DVD+RW Disk. My question is, how do I "finalize" a disk. I have looked in many places but they all refer to finalizing the disk as if it is common knowledge, but no one appears to be a complete novice like me, so please if you know what I should do in DVDA please can you explain it to me.

I have Sonic Record Now. In that program I can copy files or make data files, or disk copy. One of the fuctions it also offers is finalize disk.

Unless you are planning on re-using the media for something else, you really should stop using RW media.

In any event, the issue is not likely one of finalizing - media that isn't finalized typically only plays on the device that wrote it, so if it's working on other DVD players, then the issue is more likely the booktype.

Many DVD players will not play RW media, just like some DVD players won't play +R media and fewer DVD players won't play -R media.

If you want the highest level of playability without resorting to additional, sometimes complicated measures, burn to -R media.
