dvd in mac via dva problem?

have just duped a dvd, which plays through it's menu (chapter points in one program) happily in all pc's / dvd players without a hitch. however, on a mac it will only play all, if you click on a 'chapter point' you get sound only, NO picture.

frankly, as rhett would say, 'i don't give a damn'. i only know a few people out here (rural au) who've even heard of mac, let alone own one. but i threw it in the imac i have for checking my websites, and it did the samething...

an explaination of where i'm going wrong would be greatly appreciated...

Did you use AC-3 audio?
Maybe the Macs can't handle it without a codec/driver of some kind.

hi gents,

the original file was hdv from t/l to dvd ready with supplied pal w/s template. audio as ac3 (ditto template). put together in dvda 4.5.

plays on EVERYTHING else other than mac - as i wrote - plays from start happily, can stop and start with spacebar, but if i go to the menu and pick a 'chapter', audio only NO pic.

can't believe i'm even thinking of losing hair over one client with a mac, who tells me how great it looks (and works) in their dvd player / pc. still, i do want to get it right...
